I'd say one/ii cup, since a cup is eight oz, simply that'due south a guess, I accept a dandy scale! Best $twenty I've spent for the kitchen in a long time!!!

Never measured information technology earlier, only weighed it but if I had to guess I'd say one/2 cup.

1 cup packed. I had some cold in the fridge and measured it on my calibration. Granted mine is cold then its non moist and so don't fill yours completely to the top.

4oz of cooked drained beef is equal to 1 cup! hope this helps

measuring cups for blistering are for liquid measurement. 4 oz. of ground beef is meant to be weight. I'm betting that a i/two loving cup of footing beef is way more 4 oz of beef. Remember that a quarter pound hamburger is 4 oz. of meat.

You would think since a cup is 8oz that 4oz of meat is half that... I googled it once earlier and information technology said 4oz of footing meat is a cup...

Measuring cups are for liquid ounces(oz as in volume). You demand 4oz of cooked hamburger (oz as in weight).

ane oz of lean cooked drained hamburger is equal to 1/four loving cup. So 4oz would exist 1 cup.

Buy scale and turn a profit.

Do not confuse the 8 fl. ounces to measuring bodily weight!! This means 4 ounces of hamburger does Non equal a half a loving cup! So many people confuse this and stop upward with either way as well much or way too trivial. The final time I weighed it out on my food scale, it looked to be near a quarter cup, possibly a little more. So in this case people may be right that it could be close to a one/2 cup, but that does not e'er happen! I advise trying to find a food scale. Some of the cheaper ones actually piece of work really really well. I am extremely poor LOL, simply the food scale I bought was definitely worth the money, and it was on sale for $18.

If yous ever get up the energy to want to search it, there are a few articles out there virtually the difference between fl. ounces and "regular" ounces. fl. ounces are simply a measurement of volume, non a measurement of weight.

    Hopefully this helps!! :)

4 oz of meat is a measure of mass. Yous can't put it into a loving cup that measures volume. If you buy the meat at the store information technology's usually weighed for yous so if you lot bought a pound of beef simply estimate into quarters if you don't take a calibration. Or simply quadruple the recipe and accept leftovers!

I took a measuring cup (i cup) and put it on a digital calibration, nil it out and pack information technology with cold, cooked, tuckered ground beefiness. It weighed 4 oz..

Just so you know, most measurements of meat and things are raw. And so when the serving size on the parcel says 4 oz., that is raw, uncooked meat... when it cooks downward, information technology volition look like a lot less.

  • Joann1560

0ne of those small Dixie cups are 4oz.

  • BrianSharpe

a measuring cup measures volume non weight........buy a nutrient scale, they're non expensive

Cheque the pound/servings on the packaging and eyeball it if you won't exist ponying upwards for a scale anytime shortly. In that location are figures for portions of both raw and cooked meat floating around for a reason. A pound weight is 16 ounces, which means a one-pound chub is 4 four-ounce servings raw. Portioning a single pound into quarters volition get the chore done. Larger quantities will be separate into more, which can make the task more than difficult without a scale. Difficult, not impossible. I even so don't ain one and don't feel the need to.
